The fifteen genre series of the "New Collected Works" includes nearly all the original works of the composer and his instrumentation of music by Domenico Scarlatti, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Johann Strauss, Youmans, Braga, Tishchenko, and others.

Over 80 of his works are being published for the first time; among them are such major creations as the scores for the opera 'Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District' (Op. 29, First version, 1934) and the ballets the 'Golden Age', the 'Bolt', and 'The Limpid Stream', as well as the score of an unfinished symphony of 1935 (Adagio), the author's piano scores of symphonies and quartets (for piano solo and piano four hands), Suite for Jazz Orchestra No. 2, arrangements of symphonies by Stravinsky and Honegger for piano four hands, and many other works. All volumes of "New Collected Works"are being published in hard cover.
